“Wayra” means wind in Quechua. Light pours in through the skylight of this bright double room, set under a sloping ceiling of dark wooden beams. A grey upholstered headboard, a soft sage-green wall and a small table and chair make it simple, calm and comfortable.
Like every room at Parwa & Iskay, it is in the Qosqo Ayllu, the original Inca quarter of Ollantaytambo, a five-minute walk from the main square and ten minutes from the train station to Machu Picchu. Breakfast and Wi-Fi are included.
