The chaskis were the Inca messengers who ran across the Andes. This twin room has two single beds under a rustic ceiling of round log beams, a slate-blue wall and a warm terracotta-tiled floor.
A large window looks out over the red-tiled rooftops of Ollantaytambo to the mountain, and there is a red armchair and a wooden writing desk to plan the next day. The room opens onto the rooftop terrace, with wide views of the mountains. The private bathroom has a shower and a hairdryer.
Like every room at Parwa & Iskay, it is in the Qosqo Ayllu, the original Inca quarter of Ollantaytambo, a five-minute walk from the main square and ten minutes from the train station to Machu Picchu. Breakfast and Wi-Fi are included.
