A 2-hour experience to meet llamas and alpacas up close, the animals that have been part of Andean life for thousands of years. We start at their corral in the countryside, where you feed them and learn with our guide how they are raised, what their wool is used for and how to tell a llama from an alpaca.
Then you dress in the traditional clothes of Ollantaytambo and set off walking with the llamas: first through the fields and then along the stone streets of the Inca town, with their water channels, all the way to the main square. We finish with a visit to a traditional house, an Inca kancha: an original dwelling that is still lived in and part of the architecture of this living Inca town. It is the best way to take home unique photos and experience the town like a local.
Small groups, a guide in English or Spanish, and walks in the morning or in the afternoon, as you prefer. Perfect for families, couples and travellers looking for something different in Ollantaytambo.
