Named after the sacred river of the Incas. The queen bed, with a carved wooden headboard, sits against a turquoise wall under rustic log beams, on a floor of terracotta tiles.
By the window there is a small table for two looking over the rooftops to the green hillside, plus a comfortable armchair, a tall wardrobe and a full-length wooden mirror. The modern bathroom has a stone-tiled wall, a vessel sink and a glass-block shower.
Like every room at Parwa & Iskay, it is in the Qosqo Ayllu, the original Inca quarter of Ollantaytambo, a five-minute walk from the main square and ten minutes from the train station to Machu Picchu. Breakfast and Wi-Fi are included.
